Beat Of The Day: Asu e No Kizuna by HIMEKA

Who would’ve thought that a Canadian-French born singer could produce such a staggering quality of voice, especially to the J-POP genre. Well guys, meet HIMEKA or by her original name is Catherine St. Onge, a girl from Canada who then debuted her performance on her single of Valkria Chronicles opening song Asu e no Kizuna.

I got to say that she got a very clear and soft voice with a good Japanese and English pronunciation. I usually ticked off when a song sung by Japanese singer included a snippet of English lyric and he/ she pronounce it like an imbecile who just learn to speak English. However, HIMEKA is like the complete singer and has a very mature-like voice.

I also read her biography and who knew that her motivation in singing Japanese song departed from her loving for the Sailor Moon series. Now that’s a perfect otaku. She got the looks, her voice is magnificent, and she loves anime (Ahhh, I completely have turned on).

Also, she also does a quite bunch of featured songs from Macross, Fullmetal Panic, Kanon, Tsubasa Chronicle, and many more in her album entitled ~Love Anison~ Utattemitta and her voice is just lovely. I recommend you to listen to her brilliant songs, guys.
